Options
Where can I find almond oil at a low price. I want good quality almond oil - don't really know how to tell if it is good quailiy.

I have seen it a local chemist for £2 for 200ml bottle.

Want to use it as a face lotion.

well i used to buy mine from tesco but they don't seem to do it now i think it was about 1.30 - i will have a look when i'm there later.
It was certainly fine for my face but since i haven't been able to get i have been using olive oil instead with a bit of lavender oil

Is this just used as a moisturiser? I like the sound of that, much more natural than other things you can buy!

Try your local health food shop aswell - they might sell it at a good price. It also makes a good base oil for massages I believe - perfect for a Valentine's treat!

well yes - i use it to clean my face - put some on, rub in and then take off with a warm water flannel. I also use as a moisturiser and once a week or so mix in with some ground rice as a scrub. I am no chemist or particularly girly girl but have been told that my skin is quite good for someone of 39-again. i do prefer the sweet almond oil as i'm not keen on the smell of olive oil so i think i'll check out the chemist today

I have a friend who recommended almond oil .. she is in her sixty and has a face of a forty something !!! She got this advice from a beautiful French lady who recommended that you have regular facials and use almond oil. My friend has been doing this for over 30 years.

Ground rice .. where do you get that from? Sound great for making a natuarl facial scrub.

I was reading this book about natural beauty.. it starts you from the very basic of skin science and tell you how to have REAL beauty that will last you for years. It explains how the skin is structured and how to live and what to use on your face and what natural products are good for your skin... basically it is an idea recipe book on how to live a healthy happy life because that what is good for your skin in making it look younger and healthy.

I will second the asian grocery shops. They are much cheaper and you can also get ground rice from there.
