Summons Received ...!

Hi all
I was orginaly contacted by Robinson Way around December 2008 for a debt I alledgedly owe to Abbey (Santander) for £2k, dating back to Feb 2006.
I sent the "prove it" letters on a number of occasions to Robinson Way. On each of the occasions I sent the letters recorded delivery and each time I received no reply. The last time I received anything from them was in December 2010.I have kept copies of the letters, and the recorded delivery receipts.
I came home from work last week, and discovered they had sent me a County Court Summons (Northampton bulk processing) for this £2k, dating back to March or April 2006.
I don't want a CCJ and it seems the only way I can get rid of these people is to pay up even though I dispute the amount (but I don't have any paperwork to support my dispute) and they can't seem to prove what I owe.
I want to move the case to my local court, and challenge them to prove I owe the money, which if they do so I'll pay up sraight away. I have received no prove from them that I owe the money, nor copies of any thing that I signed.
Where do I stand with this and what is my best approach to dealing with them?
Thanks all
FJ

Put your history of dealings with them as your defence and dispute the whole claim. Return the form to the court. You have 14 +5 days to do this from the issue date, or can extend by another 14 days by acknowledging service.
Sounds like they're getting a claim in before it goes Statute Barred.0 -
Do you have the evidence of writting to them? Why not contact abbeys customer relations, they will tell you straight away if you owe moneyDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
