Drain Doctor Franchise?

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience running a drain doctor franchise, my partner has been considering this opportunity for a while but wants to get some impartial feedback from others.

do you really ,really, want to lose the shirt off your back,if so go ahead and sign up.as an ex franchisee i know what i am talking about.to be fair to them,some people have made money out of it,and they are the people they will put you in contact with as references,what they will not tell you under any circumstances are how many people have gone bust,or been terminated for various sometimes trivial breaches of contract.you will find that they will hide behind the data protection act if asked.for example ,when i bought my franchise,i was told that the previous franchisee had to pack in due to ill health,yet later ,a chance meeting with said person,revealed that he couldnt make it pay,and had to get a job.try finding anything negative on the web about them,you probably won,t,this is because the majority of people are gagged legally upon departure.the turnover of franchisees is higher than you would think,ask them how many,see if they will give you contact numbers of ex franchisees,oh sorry would love to but data protection act etc etc etc.all i can say to you is dig deep,trust your instincts.oh and by the way check out how much the going rate is to unblock a drain in you area,round here its about £75 tops,franchise drain unblock price about£150 depending on area,not such an easy sell there is it,especially in times of reccession.my tip if you really want to put your hand down toilets and drains is to buy the kit learn how to use it and go it alone
