    Hi,

Does anyone here pay for the Showfilmfirst VIP membership? If so, what are the benefits of it? I remember being told VIP members would get priority on things, but practically all free screenings I've been to have been because of codes posted on this forum, not through anything they have sent me. Is it worth paying the membership fee?

I had VIP membership for a while but cancelled as I thought it was a joke...

I only got the odd text inviting me to screenings the same day...it just felt like they were trying to fill late-cancelled seats - hardly the VIP treatment!

    Hi all

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I've subscribed to email alerts to the cinema codes thread (instant notification via email) and by now I have confirmed that it has 'missed' alerting me quite a few times :(

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there anything else I can do anything to make sure I get an email every time the thread is updated?

    Thanks!

Are you always logged on when you respond to each alert?

Did you use the option on this thread?

At top, go to Thread tools and take the subscribe to this thread.

When you receive an email about a posting, you need to look at it while you are logged in otherwise you will probably not get further reminders.

When I get an email alert, I usually click on the link in the email to get to the main (codes) thread. When I do this at work, I'm not logged in to MSE, but at home I'm always logged in.

No, around 50% of the time I'm not logged in when responding to alerts because I'm at work (incognito mode :D).

I'll make sure I'm logged in at work from now on....see if that makes a difference.

    Thanks guys!

I didn't think that was something that would affect the alerts though? I mean once you're subscribed, you should be alerted right, regardless of whether you're :A in afterwards or not?

No, you always have to be logged in or else the forum doesn't recognise you as visiting any threads you are subscribed to. It uses cookies to recognise each member.

You're very welcome. The problem comes when erroneous posts are deleted before you get a chance to check as you can miss a code then. My advice is to check every alert asap. The system will have blips from time to time, it happens to us all. If that happens, you can also go to the thread and mark it as read and that should solve the problem. ;)
