Welcome Kenspeckle!
Do you have a Facebook account? Most of my freebies seem to come from links to Facebook. Worth setting one up.
As well as links on MSE there are various "freebie" websites that send out daily newsletters:
Free Stuff Search co.uk
Magic Freebies UK
Free Stuff World
You have to be quite quick off the mark sometimes as if supplies are limited they go very quickly, but it's definitely worth it.
Survey sites also sometimes send you free stuff to trial and if Amazon like your reviews, they may select you to become a Vine Voice and send you free stuff to review. There aren't many Vine Voices however- just 860 or so in the UK.

finish dishwasher tablets.
started reviewing all my old stuff on amazon in the hopes of being picked for amazon vine!
Good luck! Even if you don't get picked, honest reviews are so helpful. Try and review your newest old stuff first - or anything that doesn't have any helpful reviews as these are likely to get more helpful votes and catch Amazon's eye.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... A free oyster card holder from a man outside London Bridge. It may not be worth much, but it was just what I needed as my old one was breaking and the sharp edge was damaging my coat pocket!0
