hey see if you get a debt letter from debt collection company on behalf of a creditor and you pay it straight away would this go as a default on credit file even if it was just two monthly payments missed? or would it be paid in time to avoid this?

Depends on the situation.
Did the creditor or the DCA send out a default notice? was the payment made within the timescale identified on the default letter (if there was one).
What type of debt was it?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
