Ocado own brand recommendations

I've just gone for the Ocado Groupon deal. I've never shopped with Ocado before and noticed they have some own brand products.

Can anyone recommend me products that are good to try and ones that I should avoid?

Don't think we've had anything that we wouldn't buy again:) You can also check out the customer reviews on a product.

Feel free to ask me if there is anything specific you want feedback on as I might have tried it.

I love Ocado and by shopping carefully it's saved me money.

bought their dusted lemon sole fillets(frozen) and chicken kievs (chilled), filled freezer when they were on offer, both delicious, would certainly recommend. I used them twice for online orders as they arent close by and wanted some Christmas bits, their service was excellent, texted reg and name of driver before delivery and arrived on time both times, no substitutions, really lovely drivers, great service, I will use them again

The main money saving for me has not been any impulse buys when wandering around a shop-lol

Hope I'm not teaching you to suck eggs but my tips are if you can afford it and have room stock up when they have their really good offers of products that you regularly use. Have found all their meat excellent and stock up and freeze chicken breasts, minced steak, beef and pork when the price is right. I also use Ecover and Method products and do the same with these apart from freezing them -lols This week they had 8 Activia yoghurts for £1.57 Cheapest I'd seen them elsewhere was £2.

They offer "flash" offers as you go through the checkout process, "would you like to try suggestions" and also "have you run out of" when you've shopped with them a few times.

I also like the texts reminding you of the cut off time to edit your order and a text reminder that your shopping will be delivered and if you have any subs. Think I've only ever had one or two subs in the last few years and they've been sensible ones as well. Drivers will phone if they're going to be late (think that's happened once) and will also phone if they could be early to see if it's convenient.

Takes a bit of time the first time you do a shop but I can now whizz through really quickly and tend to go to "favourites" and then offers on them first.

Added, we had the (fresh) essential Waitrose Cod & Parsley Fishcakes last night and they were really good.

sorry I just realised they are breaded not dusted (M&S dusted are fantastic) these ones are delicious, interesting to see one review saying too much breadcrumbs as we found them perfect and thin/crispy on the breadcrumbs - as other reviewers did, they are really excellent, they had some offer on when I stocked up, their chicken kiev 2 pack(chilled) are the best Ive had, have weakness for them! often have good offers on those.

avoid the sausges - there were all lumpy and different sizes and very very dry when cooked. However they did refund as I complianed.
