in Cutting tax
Im after some adivise and i hope someone here can help me ..
My problem is I own a ltd company and im looking at taking on new staff, my problem is the contracts that i have are limited on what they will spend and i wont be able to get more money out of them without changing my terms and having to wait 30 days end of the month for payment which i cant afford to do at this moment in time.
im wondering how these umbrella companys pay the contractors and why I couldnt pay my staff in the same manner cutting out the middle man so to speak..
it seems all they do is pass on the employers national insurence onto the contractor and pay them rolled up holiday (which I belive is no longer allowed)
My questions are.....
1) correct me if im wrong all staff are intiteld to the mileage payment of 45p for the first 10,000 miles and 25p there after and umbrella companys just offset that aganst a contractors tax? can I not do that?
2) how do they get away with rolled up holidays? is that just a contract issue?
3) surely im not the only employer thats thinking like this am i missing something?
