advice on starting work while on esa

Hi everyone im new here and im looking for some advice for starting self employed work. I have been looking at buying some stuff and then reselling it on ebay to make a profit and ive worked it out as to what i can earn etc. Im currently in the work-related activity group of esa for anxiety and depression.
So im currently claiming, Esa, Housing benefit, council tax benefit, I also have a 5month old baby so im claiming child tax credit and child benefit for him.
What i need to know is how much am i allowed to earn while still claiming benefits, do i need to change benefits, how much will i get in benefits? I really have no clue and need to know all this before i can even think about doing it to make sure i can actually afford to do this kind of work.
I have read somewhere that they have a limit of 16hours per week and you cant earn more than £92 per week but if you are under these requirements what benefits do you get, and what happens if you go above these requirements.
Thanks for any replies in advance. April :)

The best option is to make an appointment with your advisor most likely at job centre plus. How long have you been on it? You should have a meeting every 6 months at least. They can go through options courses to help you go that route etc.

Surely it will be better to Get to point of making enough to not have to have the benefits? If you don't already have a unique product, niche market or access to very low cost materials you'll most likely find your target market is already saturated at prices you can't compete with.

How about doing a skills course in a chosen field or similar and offer your services on a self employed basis still.

What job work experience do you currently have?
Do you see yourself returning to full time work soon? ESA and returning shouldn't be about if you can afford to do work, it's for people who Can't work at present and is there to provide support to help them back to work..

Have you been for help regarding your anxiety etc? Ps being self employed can be more stress full than being an employee at time.

None of this is meant to put you off just to give you some thoughts and personal experience.
