can anyone reccomend a slow cooker i can use on the hob

hi my mum has a slow cooker she can fry onions and meat off in first then it goes on a separate base for slow cooking? does anyone else have one of these?

Yes my Cockpot can be used on the hob, I always start things of that way and then put it in the heated unit. It's got no branding on it other than Crackpot, it's a large oval one that came from Costco if that helps.Piglet

I have a crockpot as well, it came with a little metal rack thingy to put between the pot and the hob. It works a treat.0 -

I think mine came from Argos, but it was a Christmas pressie so I haven't looked. It was a couple of years ago now though.
