So a few months since the last update.... still making regular monthly payments ... paying off whatever we are charged in interest...

So question for anyone reading this drivel :) ... mortgage fix ends in January ... should we be looking now for re-mortgaging or are we too soon?

In other news DD1 has headed off to uni .. being very savvy .. not asked for any money yet so that is fantastic.. planned to transfer some each week but she says she has lots left and doesn't know what she would spend it on if we did send it... :) Miss her like mad :(

Lots of decorating going on ... and some big spends but still looking to make as much money saving as I can...

Been back at work a month now after the long school holidays... already got a 'nice gift of a cold' from one of the little darlings I teach ...ahhhh

Love reading all the diaries ... keep going all you mfw's :T

  • A quick update to keep myself on track ...

    Positives

Have managed to remortage ... 4yr fixed... same rate as already on but with overpayments we have knocked £50 off our monthly payment .. will keep paying the same each month so even more of an overpayment

Have bought a slow cooker and despite being the world's worst cook it is going really well and making meal time easier a few times a week

Have managed to keep up with most of the regular diaries ... well done to all on their progress....

    Negatives

Have still not managed to win the lottery :rotfl:

Work as busy as anything and still hating the darkish evenings ... though it does seem to be getting lighter...

Still haven't managed to persuade DH to let us have a kitty :(

    .....................................................................................

Mortgage now dipped under £82,000 ... still a long way to go but
    steady away ...

    Positive vibes to all :j
