Decent saving on Marc Jabobs fragrances for Boots card holders

Hi guys, hope this is useful for someone. I've wanted to by Daisy Eau So Fresh for some time, but always thought it was overpriced, and there's never a decent sale on it. If you're like me, and missed out on Xmas gift set sale, this could be useful. Boots has got this offer now which gives you 500 extra points when you spend £29 or more on MJ fragrances. You also get £5 off when you spend £40 or more on perfumes online (using code) So, I paid £43 for a 75ml bottle, which usually costs £48 and got 676 points on the purchase, which means it actually cost me £36.24 - about 25% off. Also free delivery (orders over £40). Hope it makes sense!
Love saving, but not sure I'm doing it right!

I have been looking for Daisy Eau So Fresh for months, was so disappointed when I couldn't find the gift set before Christmas (even at full price before the sales).

I've been thinking whether to purchase the perfume alone from Boots as I noticed a few weeks back that there was 500 extra points on £29 spend on MJ fragrances. Then found a £5 discount code (which I posted over on the discount thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1610903) so made it more tempting. But I managed to get the last Gift Set from the fragranceshop online last week. £44.99 and I had a £5 discount code plus 10% cashback. So a total of £36.00 for the 75ml EDT, body lotion and 4ml mini :)

If you click on 'email when in stock' there might be more returns or it might be available for valentine's day.

  • That's a very good deal. Never found the set anywhere whenever I looked - except eBay of course at inflated prices!

I have had the stock notification on my fragranceshop account since Christmas. I did get a few emails recently stating it was back in stock but only one or two (so must have been returns), then when I clicked straight on to the link from my mobile, it went straight out of stock. I received the email again and was lucky to get the gift set eventually at a cheaper price than eBay.

I had been watching the gift set on eBay and noticed they were selling between £40 and £50. As much as I wanted it, I didn't really want to spend that much because it was reduced to £25 in the perfume shop not so long ago, I just wasn't lucky enough to get it. But I did manage to get two original daisy gift sets at that price :)

I do like the daisy range, but I think it's over-priced, as the staying power is not that good. Managed to get a 100ml bottle of daisy edp for £30 from Debenhams recently. I think I shouldn't need any more till next Christmas, and may be then I'll want something else as my taste in fragrance keeps changing!

I've just bought the 100ml pop art Daisy for £35 for my daughters birthday from beauty base online, well impressed with the price and delivery
