Requesting information from employers

Hi, a friend who has been in same job has for a few years has requested a copy of employment policies on health and safety/risk assessments related to job role, manual handling, sick pay and procedure, holiday entitlement and employee contract from employer - they won't acknowledge the requests made. They have however sent an employee handbook but it only gives a very brief outline and guide and states to refer to the line manager on the sections further info is needed.

It is a big company employing around 3000 workers. Can they ignore these requests and would doing a SAR (is there a template available) help get what it is needed?

A SAR only relates to personal information.

TBH, it sounds like your friend has a death wish. Is there a reason he's asking for all this? Because if there is there may be better approaches than painting a target on his back!
