Credit Resolution Services (CRS)

Hi all,
Im new here so apologies if this has been posted in the wrong forum. I'm a student sharing a house with 4 others and at the start of the tenancy we decided to switch utility providers from eon to glide as it would be too much hassle otherwise (my housemates aren't the most organised). To cut a long story short, we received a final bill from eon, but there had been ongoing disputes as to who would pay it as not everyone was present at the initial period of the tenancy. Eventually, the debt was passed on to CRS and the outstanding amount has now been paid directly to Eon but I still keep on getting calls from CRS on a daily basis as mine is the only number they have even though my name isnt even mentioned on their letters.
As the debt has been paid off directly to eon, how can I get CRS off my back? I realise I can just ignore them but its frustrating having them call 3-5+ times a day and ive heard that they are notoriously hard to get rid of.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You could send a letter to stop the calls using the telephone harrasment letter templates - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11571485&postcount=4
Are you certain the debt to eon has been paid? (ie all those that were supposed to pay have made their payments)? If so I would contact Eon to get them to stop CRS.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thanks for the reply. Yes, one of my housemate paid the outstanding amount in full last week. I'll speak to Eon and see what they say about CRS.0 -
Hi tashaq,
Just thought I would pop in to give you a bit of info if that's ok
If the balance has been paid directly to E.ON then it can take a few days for the message to get through to the debt collection company, as this is usually sent to them via electronic message.
We would normally say once the balance has been paid to maybe expect further contact from the DCA for up to about 7 working days after payment.
If you need to double check you can ask the named account holder for E.ON to give us a call and confirm the message has been passed on that the debt is now clear.
Hope this helps a little.
