Making chocolates...

I'm hoping to make some chocolates to go in my Christmas hampers.
I'd like them to be like Thorntons type chocolates with a selection but I can only find recipes for truffles online.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some chocolate recipes other than truffles?
Thanks!!

Have a read of this site: http://www.chefeddy.com/2010/09/liquor-filled-chocolates/
I did a mixture of brandy-filled barrels, cherry liqueurs and truffles as Christmas presents one year. The truffles were the easiest but had the shortest shelf life... the cherry liqueurs were by far the trickiest and about 15% were destroyed in the process, but they were a lot of funMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Oh and I've also done some fondants - it's basically glucose syrup mixed with icing sugar, and then add whatever flavour you like (vanilla gives the Cadbury's creme egg flavour, while strawberry and orange are the traditional chocolate box ones).
Basically once you've had a go at the technique above you can find all sorts of ways to fill your chocolates!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

(you can make it the traditional way, then brush chocolate over it / place the set pieces into a warm chocolate mold)Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
