Wow that year has almost flown by and with the help of this forum my worries and concerns have all been answered. The next step is advice on what do when my March discharge date arrives. Do I need to contact anybody? Do I have to apply for a discharge notice(have read things about a discharge notice??) and do I start to clean up my credit files immediately or should my creditors do this? is there anything else I should do apart from have that celebratory drink ?? :T

Hi NotFair, it has flown.......brilliant news :T. You don’t usually get confirmation of discharge with AD, if you can print off several copies from the insolvency service site, this will help with credit file clean up later.
Search Insolvency Register - Click here
Don't forget to click on your surname to bring up full details. Most creditors will accept this. Bear in mind your name will stay online for 3 months after your AD date and then disappear. You can contact your OR and ask for confirmation in writing some will do this for free, but some are charging £25 now or you can pay £70 for the official certificate of discharge from the court where you went BR (in some cases depending if you are on benefits/low income you can have this for free as well).
Wait for 2 or three months than begin your credit file clean up. Then you'll need to get all three credit files and make sure that:
- The default date is on or before your BR date.
- The current balance is marked as settled/satisfied in some way.
Click on blue links below:-
Experian - Click here
Equifax - Click here
NB: Equifax was the only one that I couldn`t order online, print off the application form and post this recorded delivery.
Callcredit - Click here
NB: Others have had trouble here too, they would rather you pay £12 don’t do that just print off the application form and post this recorded delivery too.
They are £2 each for paper copies. Some people have used the online one's and have said the information was very poor compared to the paper copies.

Hi,
Just reading this and was wondering if you need to contact all the creditors personally to have the accounts marked as settled/satisfied?
I was discharged in 2008 and have just started to clean up my file
