How long after activation can I submit a tax return?!

Hi,
I'm hoping someone else has had this same problem.
I've just activated to file a friends return online for her and am getting this message:
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is currently unable to display your tax return information. This may be because:
Does anyone know how long the "short delay" is before the information is available to view?!

I've just activated to file a friends return online for her and am getting this message:
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is currently unable to display your tax return information. This may be because:
- there is no information to view at this time
- you have only just activated this service and there is a short delay before the information is available to view.
Does anyone know how long the "short delay" is before the information is available to view?!

Try it again in say 3/4 hours and it should be ok by then.0
