where have all the bubbles gone?

just wondering really with my washing machine, you used to see it nice and bubbly years ago but now I don't see any! I try and add stuff to the drawer to make it bubbly but nothing! where have all the bubbles gone nowdays?

    Is it a new washing machine? Modern ones don't use as much water as the old ones did.

    yeah it is, well about 4 or 5 years old, the water thing I didn't know thats probably why then thanks

    Modern detergents don't make as much suds as they used to eityer.

    Might be the detergent formulation changing. But don't worry - bubbles don't mean clean so it's probably working fine. The cleaning bits of the ingredients don't foam but we've got used to equating bubbles with cleanliness - they don't need to be there.
