Call from unknown number?

So I got a call from "unknown number" today, on a new cell phone. I have only given out my personal number locally and for a couple of comps. I answered but I literally could not understand the person on the other end, her accent was so thick...I felt really bad that I kept saying 'what?' I thought I heard something about "modelling" or something but I couldn't even catch a company name. So I just said "I'm not interested" and hung up.
But now thinking about it I wonder if I passed up a comp win! Hardly anyone has this number, is it possible? Or does this sound like a telemarketer? Anyone else get any calls recently?
