Can you get values for DVDs and CDs online from Cash Converters or do you need to take them into the shop? I thought I might give that a go but not sure when I'll next be in town - I too live in the sticks with the badgers and foxes (usually alive and breathing rather than squashed!)

Can't help you with that, but have you considered Zapper or Music Magpie for them? Zapper take some CD singles too! I've used both and get roughly 30p per CD and DVD, which isn't life changing, but awhile ago CC wouldn't even take the DVDs my friend was selling.

You have to take them in but the one near me gives you at least 50p for DVDs- more for boxsets.

How do you know when someone has used your referral? Someone has posted after me on the referral board to say that they have used mine, but I've had nothing to say that someone has signed up under me (most sites tend to tell you), and I don't think I've seen the extra £10 - only the £10 I deposited and the £20 bonus. :s

I just logged in today and it was there and withdrew it straight away. Think it took 24hours or so to go in though.

Ah fab, thanks. Hopefully it will be there tomorrow then as it was only today that I joined and that someone used my referral!

  • Well today has not been a good one :( Slipped and fell on black ice on my way into work this morning & I've broken my elbow  Also heard today that Santander are not going to meet the mortgage shortfall amount that was paid out on our critical illness policy after OH's accident last year

On the upside I've had my Neilsen scanner delivered today which will help with future money making.

Sweets, good luck to your daughter Xx
