in which case buyer beware as I'm led to believe it's a re-badged Vestel TV

I got in when Curry's where doing the Toshiba 32LV713 for £178.97 brand new:eek: just got to wait for it to be delivered though now:)

As indicated above this is not a genuine Toshiba, but a rebadged Vestel TV. Toshiba bought it 'off the shelf' & had their badge affixed.

The Toshibas with "BV" in the model number are rebadged. It's really put me off buying any Toshiba though, know that they do that and wondering if they do it with other than the BV models.

Toshiba are not alone. Hitachi & JVC TVs now sold in the UK are not designed or made by them. The same is true of Sharp models below series LE6xx.

Note that some Toshibas are made by Toshiba in their factory in Poland, e.g. series RL & TL.
