Council tax for a house with 3 students and 1 non-student

in Cutting tax
I am currently a final year student studying in York. Next year I have decided to stay in York and am living with my 3 current house mates who will all remain as students. I realise that I will have to pay some council tax as I am no longer a student however it is not clear what percentage of the normal council tax rate I will have to pay for a house with 3 students and 1 non-student. The house we are renting next year is within the B band for council tax. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You will pay 75% of the amount for a Band B dwelling. As the only person liable to pay CT you will get 25% single person discount. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Yes, I agree, 75% it is..............make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
The three students are disregarded for CT so there will only be one eligible CT payer in the house, which means the 25% single occupancy discount will be applicable. So you will have to pay 75% of the full CT, unless you can persuade your housemates to share the cost with you. Band B is currently £1055.83, assuming you are in the City of York council area, which means your bill will be around £790.0

The signs are that the council will put the CT bill up by about 3.4% next year, so add that on to the figures given by agrinnall0

Thanks for all the help.
