Recenly bought a box of asda own brand and did not notice any differnce in taste or internal packaging but on both boxes they carry acommunity trade mark number 834150 which states is the property of weetabix ,so i think asda brand must be supplied buy weetabix and are around a £1 a box cheaper for the same thing.

The proper Weetabix were £1.74 in Asda and i thought that was good, i sometimes buy Morrisons own weetabix and can't tell the difference but don't like the Tesco ones.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

To be honest I thought basically all the supermarket own brand Wholewheat Biscuits (with the exception of the value ranges) were made by Weetabix and have been for a long time. There's no difference in taste and the Sainsbury's packets also carry the same 834150 trade mark number.0

I'd always buy the own brand rather than weetabix, no difference in taste.0

I usually get weetabix when on offer but I quite enjoy Sainsburys brand which taste just the same. Will definitely give Asda brand a go!:)You are 48% tight

I always buy ASDA's own brand of Weetabix. I think they are great.'Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves'0

ASDA's Wheat Bisks score quite high according to food critic Martin Isark of Supermarket Own Brand Guide. Morrisons Wheat Biscuits also score very high as well though appear slighty cheaper than ASDA's. See here.
It wouldn't surprise me, and as a few have already pointed out, that supermarkets own are actually Weetabix repackaged as supermarkets own brand.0 -
Incidentally, check in store at Tesco's as they were selling Weetabix 36s for £1.49. Think the offer ends tomorrow, not available online.0
