to report back, i put the chicken in the bag with, flour, salt, pepper, dried thyme, 2 lemons, one inside one cut up and put around, garlic cloves cut up and shoved in. then some water put in the bottom of the bag. sealed it tightly. the bag inflated but didn't pop. roasted it for 1 hour 20 mins then opened up the bag, poured off the liquid, put a bit of butter on the chicken breast to crisp the skin.
the meat was so so moist, just what i was hoping for.
used the liquor for gravy with some of the veg water and thickened a bit.
ate it with roast pots, roast parsnips, stuffing, cubed swede, peas and some red cabbage from the freezer.

I've started using the roasting bags and really love it, meat is tasty & moist, not fatty all over. The bags disappeared over xmas but are now back with a higher price tags0
