Credit reference agencies help

Hi, I just wanted to ask a quick question about the length of time credit reference agencies hold information.
I have one blip on my file which was an arrangement to pay that was settled in February 2008. I know it's 6 years they hold information for but they are actually displaying details on this account from 2004 - 2006!
I don't understand why this is showing back to 8 years ago and none of the other accounts are. Is this right for them to do?
This account was opened in 1997 and I have another account opened in 1995 but they only show details back to 2008.
Thank you in advance ;)

  • It will come off your file 6 years from the date a default was applied or the date the account was closed - whichever happens first.
