hi i have rbs one account facility 0f 52000 which is now 7500 behind target and 12000 credit card debt all on low interest i am 51 and recently had to change jobs cutting my salary from 45000 to 22000 a year although i have never defaulted on any payments as any one any advice can i combine all my debts and have a new mortagage because i am worried im running out of years to pay

& welcome to MSE,

the first step that people usually take is to write up a Statement Of Affairs which details your income & outgoing commitments.

We can then usually offer advice on where you can make cutbacks.

It might be helpful if you actually re post this over in the main Debt Free Wannabe forum, rather than the diaries section as this area tends to move very fast & your request for help easily missed.

Have you tried looking at the stickies at the top of the DFW board, as they will offer you some advice on how to take the first steps.

Don't worry, I'm sure we can help you find a way to deal with all this, however ghastly it may seem now.

i shall sort that out later but i dont think i can make a lot of cuts need to run car for work so cant give that up credit cards are all on zero or low interest but will have a look
