Help I need some advice about a (sort of) job offer

I am currently signing on. A few weeks ago I applied for an admin assistant post. Three weeks have gone past and I heard nothing until tonight. I have just had a phone call from the company not offering me the admin assistant post but offering me a data input post. I have health problems (a problem with my ears which causes balance problems) which means that I cannot sit in one position for too long and can't spend long periods on the telephone. It seems like this post will be data input and telephone work only which is obviously going to put a strain on my ears and may cause the balance problems to flare up big time.
I have not had an interview for this post, they have not taken up references and I have nothing in writing and completely forgot to ask about salary etc and they want me to start on Monday at 9am. The woman got a bit shirty with me when I said I would have to think about it pointing out that it is an offer of a job.
Its not the kind of work that I feel I am able to do successfully but I am desparate for a job. I am also not happy about it all hapening so quickly and not knowing much about it.
I have an advisor appoinment on Monday at the job centre and am now really panicing (I also suffer for anxiety on and off). Does anyone have any advice for me, i.e. what might happen if I turn it down. I have told her that I will call her back tomorrow.

Are your health problems that restrict your working styles shown on your jobcentre agreement? If they are not they will likely be at least grumpy with you about this - but probably not be able to sanction you though.
On the surface an Admin job doesn't sound that much different from a Data Entry job - most admin jobs I've done did require long times sitting at a computer or desk and long times on the telephone. I can see that with an Admin job you at least have some duties that can allow you to move around a bit.
Does the potential employer know about your health issues? If they don't they may not see why the data entry job isn't suitable for you and think you are just thinking it "beneath" you.0
