Eyelash Extensions

Hey I got eyelash extensions last Tuesday from a beautician who does them at home. They were fab at first but then at the start of this week my eyes started to get sore and my left eye was sore to close and really gritty. Got to yesterday and it felt like the glue or bonding agent was rubbing against my eyes everytime I blinked so I had to take them off. I followed the advice of the woman and used vaseline and didnt pull, but it has ripped out most of my eyelashes and snapped what was left. I'm gutted, I had good thick, long lashes before and I enquired before to make sure there would be no damage and was reassured. Anyway I emailed her last night and she basically said it couldnt have been anything to do with the glue and she's done hundreds and I'm the first person to report anything gone wrong.
Anybody had this before? Or does anyone know how long it will take for them to grow back? I know its really silly but I feel really self conscious now

Just buy some plain glass glasses or some very faintly tinted sunglasses, no one will notice.
Dont mess with eyes, they are very very precious, there are eye problems right through my OHs family, My Oh only has sight in one eye and only has forward vision in that.
Infections are so easy to pick up in your eys.
That's why I feel how I do about eyes.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If you had "good thick, long lashes before", why the hell would you get eyelash extensions?:undecided0

My friend had had them done previously for a wedding and they looked really good, gave that inbetween mascar and big false eyelash look so I thought I'd treat myself.0

This happened when I tried to do my own permanent eyelash extensions, even though I had the proper glue remover (and should know better).
Just wear mascara on what's left, and liquid eyeliner on your upper eyelid, and nobody will notice... even you won't notice after a couple of weeks. You could try the growth-enhancing serums in the meantime.0 -
Thanks fat balls, just put some liquid eyeliner today but left the mascara off and it wasnt too bad. I had a look at the serum in boots but it was £41 so decided against it but bought some skin, hair and nails vitamins so hopefully they help speed things along0
