Does anyone know the detail on the proposed £10000 tax free allowance?

Will be worse of due to earning between £50k & £55k currently. If I'm going to worse of then I may need to stop working overtime.

But anyone earning more than £35,000 is likely to find themselves handing over more of their money to HM Revenue and Customs.

That article is almost 2 years old.
As things stand, the personal allowance increases to £8105 next year, an increase of £630. The basic rate band is being reduced by the same amount to higher rate taxpayers do not gain from the increase.0 -

If you haven't noticed 'being much worse off' by now .... it was all a bit exaggerated.
Hadn't realised the news got so slowly to Teesside.
