Hi,
I've been looking around for a while for some indoor bins that can be used to store recycled stuff until it goes outside. I live in Scotland (rains occasionally) and the recycling tends to get stored all over kitchen, don't have a utility room. Really only wanted for cosmetic reasons + I think it will encourage the kids and save me from 'rescuing' things from the kitchen bin! Uplifts are weekly for recycled/fortnightly for landfill, managing the keep to the target of 1 bag a week but think I could do better.
I've seen the following advertised http://dwell.co.uk/product.php?prod=103313 there's no sizes listed but for £35 it's a lot cheaper than anything I've seen elsewhere.
Is this a good deal or am I looking at wasting my money?

a system from Ikea - very cheap with four pull out bins that fitted under the sink cupboard. One for each of glass, paper, tins/plastic and rubbish. I also got another small one to fit on one of the cupboard doors for compost and finally two plastic bag holders - one for bags I could reuse as bin liners and another for bags to recycle when I next go to the supermarket
I cant see exactly the same thing on their website now but they have a pullout waste sorting tray and a waste bin with divider here

hope this helpsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -

I have found that once you get going with the recycling then a lot of the clever 3 compartment bins are just too small. It all depends what you are able to recycle etc, but it could well be cheaper just to get ordinary bins/stackable crates and you'd be more likely to match your decor (as you say that this is for cosmetic reasons).0
