Simple question, how to pay my tax?

I know its a dim question but Im overloaded with information at the moment and need some help.

My tax return has been sent in online a while back, Im waiting until today to pay the tax so it gets there for Tuesday.

However, the tax calculation has not been verified by any letter, is this normal?

Ive had no 'demand' or request for payment so I have to assume that I pay the amount on the self assessment thing that I submitted, I hope this is right?

So the full amount is made up of class 4 NI conts, do I pay the full amount to the Cumbernauld account details or do I have to break it down into tax and NI and pay the NI somewhere else?

I also have my 6 month NI class 2 to pay by the same date, but I have a bill payment set up already on my online banking to deal with that

Help!

You don't split it - it's a composite sum paid and quoting your UTR. Doesn't matter whether you aim it at Cumbernauld or Shipley as the SA accounting is shared between them.

The best way is via a one off Direct Debit set up through your online. But too late to do that (the initial Mandate takes 5 days) if not already established. Next safest is to do it via BillPay using your Debit Card

The online will tell you what you need to pay. Not quite sure how the schedule for paper Statement issue works. You should have one and including a payslip in case you pay by cheque. But don't wait for it.

thank you, ive been holding on the 'helpline' for over 15 minutes now, so i will pay the full amount via bill payment, thats how i normally pay my class 2 anyway

next question, i have mislaid the last 6 monthly demand for class 2 NI conts, can anyone say what the standard amount for those is, i recall it being around 96 quid or so? does that sound right?

it used to be every quarter and then they changed it to 6 monthly with this one to be paid by 31st jan
