How to get facebook likes?

Hiya,
Not sure where to post this but since it's about starting a small business maybe here?

Anyway I'm trying to start a small business in my spare time (it's nothing that's gonna make me rich but just for a bit of fun really!). I have made a facebook page and posted it on my personal facebook page but haven't got any likes yet. I don't want to annoy people by keep going on about it, besides my friend's probably wouldn't be my target market anyway. Does anyone have any tips on how to get people to my page?
I am a complete beginner and don't have a proper website yet.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

If you run a competition and people have to like to win the prize. Only thing is you'll get lets of compers liking your page without necessarily caring about your product. Does this matter or not? I'd say check out the competitions board and enter and monitor a few facebook competitions yourself to see how many likes they get and whether you think its worth it?
