collect points on your purchase and trade ins etc and turn them into pounds to spend.

Gamestation do not charge for their Elite cards, however Game do

yup they've always been free - hmv and game charge £3 for their cards you must be getting confused with them.

how bizarre!

when i placed my order it asked me if i wanted to sign up and it definetly said that it's now free, but only for a short time!

i can't find anything on the site to say this now except in the terms and condtions, i quote:

3.An administration fee is charged on an application for a Gamestation Elite Card. This fee may be waived at Gamestation's discretion. Occasionally Gamestation may award Card Holders with points (called 'XP') as an incentive to join the Gamestation Elite programme.

oh well, free is free, at least i didn't waste any money
