velcro rollers need cleaning

Hi I have tried and failed......stardrops didn't work!! knew there would be something it didn't clean!!
How do you clean velcro rollers, got bits of hair/cotton wool and god knows what else on them!!
DD took them without asking, just dug them out of her bedroom :mad: and they are not going anywhere near my hair until they are clean!
Any ideas

Thanks. I did do a search but could find anything.
Some good ideas for me to try.0 -
Soak them in warm water for a while and the hair will come off in a clump.0

I usually use a comb for anything like this, run from where the velcro starts to brush fluff/hair off.One day I might be more organised...........
