Marriage affecting credit rating? Getting a loan?

I have a bad credit rating. My debts are in my name (they aren't huge but I defaulted, not recently though)

My husbands only credit is our joint current account overdraft - which is continuous, and a mobile contract.

If he were to get out a loan by himself (he is working full time) for around 4k would he be affected by my credit rating?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, you are financially connected through the joint account so your poor credit will affect his.

Also, is the overdraft USED continuously?
