JSA putting me on a 2nd Work Experience?

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some advice and opinions on this,
Not long ago I completed a 1 month Work Experience with a local company that the JSA had put me on, It went fine and I enjoyed it but no job came out of it yet.
When I last signed on It was suggested that I should do a 2nd Work Experience which normally isn't allowed they said but because it "could" lead up to an apprenticeship I could do it, It didn't sound like I had much choice.
So I went to the place the work experience was at for a short interview and the company is rather far from me as I don't drive and it doesn't have suitable cycle parking so it costs £6 one way in a taxi with no nearby bus routes.
The owner was quite rude and rather discriminatory and it was clear to me that the place was declining and didn't seem to be the sort of place that would be able to afford to take on an apprenticeship and thus I don't feel it could offer me anything new that would improve my chance of a job / career for the future as it is pretty much exactly what my last work experience was. The company asked for my C.V as well and to e-mail it which I haven't done as of yet.
What are my rights on this matter? I know for my 1st work experience I had the option to leave it in the first 2 weeks (I completed the full 4 weeks) Would I be able to say I do not want to do this 2nd Work Experience without affecting JSA?
Another thing that concerns me is that the JS sorted out a college course for me which I'm awaiting a start date and will be around 4 days a week which would mean I would not be able to attend the work experience and I know the course will be more beneficial to me.
P.S just to clarify I am not trying to get out of working, Just this particular work experience I feel doesn't offer anything and clashes with other things as mentioned above. I would rather volunteer locally and get experience that way.

I would just explain to the jobcentre what you have said here and that you cant afford to get there out of your JSA.I would say that I wanted a more suitable placement which you can travel to without having to get a taxi. They cant expect you to pay £12.00 per day on taxi fares out of JSA!.0

I have an appointment with my "personal" advisor next week so I'll be able to discuss it then, I can't get in touch with them before then as they are too busy apparently. The 2nd work experience company asked to send my C.V to them and they would confirm it with the JS, I'm not going to as I do not want to confirm it if I am able to not do the placement I just hope the JS do not sanction or stop JSA if they think I am ignoring it or try to say I am not accepting the placement.0 -
well if they don't normally send you on a second one and its going to cost a bomb you should refuse it, it is NOT in your interest that is going to cost you a fortune as you wouldn't be able to live on the income. i would flatly refuse it and mentino that you have already completed a work experience and request something that is far closer as you have to look at finances. And mention that the company seam to be in decline. Perhaps you should do some homework on the company see if there any articles on the net and present your advisor with evidence.
i think these companies are paid to take on work experience, they certainly were when it was new deal programmes.
make sure you find out for sure how much it would cost you to get there and back, and that there are no closer bus routes you could take and find out the fares on those too.
tell them if they are not going to pay for the cost of the travel then you are not doing it. request to speak to the manager if you have to.My Signature is MY OWN!!0
