Freezer bags/boxes?

Options
Hi all OS's - wondered what you use in your freezer for re-packaging. I usually use freezer poly bags but my DD thinks that these are not very enviromentally friendly and suggested using poly boxes. Now if this is the best thing to do, I would have to buy loads of boxes as I've only got a few so it doesn't seem to be very EF to me, plus I've used cheaper boxes and they don't last long as the lids tend to crack at the corners after a while so it would be quite expensive.

If I use foil boxes - the kind you get curry's in - I would be able to recycle those, but you can't put them into the microwave (I'm so disorganised I usually have to thaw things out in there as I forget to take them out previous night!) and also the cardboard lids don't last very long.

So can anyone help me in my dilemma? What do you all use or suggest?

Many thanks
