Hello!!
Not really sure on where to start but il start with a little background on my silly self
Im 24 years old and a self confessed spendaholic with a stupid past when it comes to money, if iv got it iv already spent it.
I really need to find out who my creditors are to start re paying some debts for my new 2012 me
Experian are saying I only have 1 ccj (given last week) but i have so many I couldnt even give a guess as to how many but I know its at least 10, they are also saying I only owe 1 company money which is provident and I owe just about every company that iv ever had dealings with, im so lost.
I have had my own house since I was 15 and never paid a utility bill, had a baby at 18, got offered a £2,500 overdraft whilst on benefits with no food in the cupboard - needless to say I took it. Then i got offered a chequebook and guarantee card which i blasted within a week, claimed i lost it then hammered that one too, all for £100 each. Iv had 3 cars on finance and not paid for 1, multiple car insurance policies that I owe because my policies got cancelled and that doesnt even scratch the surface, I dont understand why Experian dont have them.
I have been in a job now earning at least £400 a week and know its time i tightened the belt, became debt free and started saving, I just cant find the people I owe money too
Before you say it, I know I am soooooo irresponsible but at least I am trying to get a grip of things now.
Any help GRATEFULLY recieved!!

You can check the Registry Trust for any CCJs lodged against you. Some may show up there but not be on your credit report.
You should check all 3 credit agencies not just one as they sometmes have differing information.
Any debts you have where you haven't acknowledged the debt (in writing, or by making a payment) for 6 years or more is statute barred and won't show on your credit report.
Other than that, pay the people who are in contact with you or have CCJs and save the money for if any others get in touch. If you have the money you should pay the most recent CCJ ASAP - if you pay it within 28 days of it being issued it will be expunged.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Thankyou!!
I have just registered with callcredit though and they are saying exactly the same i dont understand it.
What happens if equifax dont list them either? Does that mean I will never be able to find out?
Prime example: Just found an unopened letter from Hamptons Legal saying they are taking court action (in Dec) but they are not anywhere on my file either.
I cant get my head around this, so much iv considered going bankrupt so no one else can just pop up out of no where but i am training to be an accountant so i dont think thats a very good career choice i wouldnt be able to practise

Im considering sticking my head back in the sand now, the new financially wise 2012 is slipping away already, it seems trying to pay off my debts is proving to be more hassle than its worth, iv been on the internet for 2 weeks, looking for my creditors is more stressful than the debt.
Gets to something when you cant even find who you owe money to...0 -
Deal with them as they contact you. If you end up with creditors that haven't been in touch for 6 years they're too late and you can tell them to get stuffed

If you don't have CCJs or defaults on your credit file you can cheerfully ignore any creditors who don't get in touch. Although I would be putting money aside in case some do get in touch later.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

you may find as you contact creditors they 'appear' on your credit files. How much was the recent CCJ for ? seriously try and pay that off, as someone else mentioned if you pay with 28 days of the issue then I believe it is removed from the credit file (not sure if totally removed)LBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]
