I use a Hippo in my loo at home and it saves me 3 litres every time I flush0

One thing to bear in mind with the Save a Flush is that it contains silicon beads that soak up the water - not what i would call eco friendly.
There is another product out there called Hippo The Watersaver which does the same job but is recyclable so much better for the environment.

Most water companies will give you a Hippo free as well. I got mine from North Staffs water and got one for my mum as well. . . . . . . they are great and save about 2-3 litres each time you flush the loo.
You can get them from hippo-the-watersaver.co.uk if you want more.
Great site, lots of information and the Hippo looks fun!:j
My kids love having a Hippo in the loo!!!!0 -
I had a save a flush and had no idea what it was or what purpose it served, stupidly i opened the bag! after that i told my wife there was no way i could put sand / silicone in the toilet. Since then we have looked at other products but are unsure which to try? possibly a hippo when we can get hold of one!

when I applied for the water saver kit, it came with a 'water widget' faucet aerator, and I left the whole kit installed in my old uni accommodation. So any time they want to thank me for reducing their carbon footprint, they're welcome!0

Why get a save-a-flush? As the hot water for my shower takes so long to come through because of the combi boiler I run off the cold water (about 7 litres) into a bucket and it's enough to flush my toilet twice and I use the 'If it's yellow let it mellow. If it's brown flush it down' advice. Also I don't run the water till it's hot for washing up but boil a kettle of water and add cold, or rinse small items under a very slowly running cold tap. My bills shot down for my metered water when I started these little tricks. Try it sometime. Cheers - Pat0
