I keep getting letters from debt collectors in somebody else's name

What do you do if you keep getting letters from debt collectors addressed to somebody who does not live at your address?

we had that rented house in the end i had to open one and i rang them up to inform them they no longer lived here and i would try and find out their new address from my estate agent who informed me they had left the country no idea what they did from that but the letters stopped had to do it for a couple of companies.

but i waited ages before actually opening them though i used to just write return to sender no longer at this address but coz that didnt work i ended up opening one you are not allowed to though.
