and do the amarylis plants normally grow so tall? :o the 11p one I got is about 70cm tall already and no sign of it to 'open up' anytime soon... did I get a monster one?:eek::eek: :rotfl:

I got one of these for my neighbour who loves gardening....its grown huge!!! Its about the same size as yours and not flowered yet so heaven knows how big it will end up!!! Was definately worth the 11p!!

Just in case anyone has any of the Persil Non Bio coupons left...Co-op has 28 wash on offer for £3.19....only £2.19 with coupon :) I used my coupons fine....but was trouted ages ago when used them on the comfort...despite them accepting them the day before on the comfort!! I think if theyre printed big they scan easier so the SAs are happy...when they have to look into it and start manually inputting them they start getting fish faced about it ... so naturally this time I used the bigger printed coupons! :rotfl:
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Ah finally found the post was looking for;)This ones played on my mind for a few days because I sort of don't agree with it. I know that you can end up buying bits you don't necessarily need when you go to T's, but I don't you have to have a bit of willpower. Saving money at T's and cutting down your weekly shop does take a while before you really feel the difference. I could stop shopping now other than buy fruit & veg and could survive for months, and with some stuff years. My shopping bill each week is only 25% of what it was this time last year. You have to be committed to saving money, prepared to speculate to accumulate(bulk buy when its glitching) and then you really do see the results. I must be doing something right, my shopping bill has been drastically reduced and I have more "stuff" than I've ever had;)And I have more brand stuff and airfresheners and bits that I would never have even bought, and of course duvet covers!!
Sorry just wanted to put another side across on this one:)

I have to agree with you.I started looking at this board the last week of dtd so i didnt get a lot of bargains like some did.But up to date you could say that i have spent about as much per week as i used to.But the big difference is unlike before when i had a couple bits in the freezer, cupboards etc and would go shopping each week to do a weekly shop and spend about £125 per week. But now i have three freezers full, cupboards full etc.The way i look at it is will i use it and if its a good price then i stock up. An example is when the garden glitch was on.I buy the weed killer for my drive twice a year and it costs about £25 in total. But i spent in the garden glitch about £50 but i have anough weed killer for the next 5 years plus about 20 other bits like plant food, lawn feed etc so yes to me it is worth it.And it is good to know i could get by on only spending very little each week on veg/fruit etc.But if i find a good deal tomorrow and i will use it yes i will stock up on it.One big difference was when my daughter went to university before she started her first year we went shopping and i must of spent about £250 on all her toletries laundry stuff, tins of food, food for her freezer and also some wine, coke etc.But now when she comes home she just goes to my garage, cupboards and the very most i spend now is about £30 for the fruit and veg [ and if her uni was closer she would be getting them whoppsied].For me it does work

Do you think it is possible to keep this thread i.e Tesco discussions to chatting about Tescos and NOT all the Waffle on births deaths marriages cooking photos of dogs cats cars children etc etc Surely the best place for this is twitter or face book lets keep this thread to tescos only I know I will get shot down but I expect it as I am a man

Dont be so rude, go find somewhere else to get deals from. I don't post often, but love the way this thread is so friendly and give advice on anything.
I was going to tell you of a great DTD I got at the weekend but, I wouldn't want you to find it. :p
