Used up the last of the marg (only use it when baking for guests as it is cheaper than butter). Used up the last of the ground almonds and a couple of pears that need using too. (made pear n almond cupcakes)
Just got text that the kids are all full of cold so now we've got to eat em  I HATE margarine and don't like eating cake just for the sake of it.
At least I didn't get round to topping em.
What is everyone else doing today?
We are finishing off a space project with kids.
Went Jodrell bank yesterday and going to another observatory tonight.
Making papier mâch! models of their chosen planets and writing up reports for yesterday's field trip.
At least dinner is made. No cooking today, yay. Rice in the thermal cooker too so easy peasy dinner.
Jumblejack, have you any tips on potato cakes? My grannie used to make them and they were wonderful, hot out of the oven (on a cold winter day) with home-made butter (which used to run down my chin). I made some the other day and they were a tasteless disappointment. The stuff they sell in the supermarkets purporting to be potato cakes is pretty tasteless. Thanks IA0 -

Welcome back Happy, glad to see you posting again!:T

there should be a note on your file, stating "do not call at mr happychappy until 1pm as he is mr grumpy before then"
No but it is on my file about my Autism and that I don't like strangers in my flat and that I won't answer the door to anyone. It also states that if they must send someone round they must give me 24 hours notice so I can prepare myself for them coming. It also says they should contact me by email only.
I wasn't going to open the door but she knocked at my door, then the neighbours. I heard her announce she was from GH. After speaking to them she knocked and knocked and knocked at my door. That coupled with the phone call left on my answer machine yesterday meant I got up and gave her a right mouthful.
The email I sent was a complaint about them not sticking to their agreement of contacting me by email only and giving me notice of any visit.0 -

Maybe we should get other people opinion?
Sis and I went halfs on a Canon EOS20D. We took the camera to south America with us. After a long bus journey to Lima we dumped our bags in the hostel. Sis took the camera with her and we went to a chinese restaurant. Being tired we never noticed people sit at the table next to us, nor did we notice them walk off with the camera, sis's wallet, passport, etc etc. Sis claimed on her travel insurance so technically I think half the claim settlement should have been mine, and whatever half meant in the new camera I should own a part of new camera?
Sis bought me out of old camera for £100 knowing fine well she was shafting me.
What does everyone think? If sis hadn't bought me out of old camera should I have owned a share in the new one?
Being that she paid you for your half of the other camera, your not out of pocket, soooooo in a way love, I dont think you own half of the new one...0 -
mymerrywidow wrote: »more importantly who paid for the chinese meal?
I did, I had to pay for everything from that point on because they got her credit cards and everything. Phone calls back to the UK to cancel all the cards cost me a bomb but I never asked her to pay for the calls with her being so upset.0 -
