Make sure you check size !!- I bought this from amazon and it doesn't fit in my microwave !!! thought I'd get away with just heating food in tub then transferring but it doesn't keep it warm this way !!!! should have read the reviews first I suppose :((

Thank you so much for writing this....I was on the verge of buying this until I read your post, went and checked my microwave and sure enough it's too small!! Sorry for your mis-fortune, but thanks for highlighting something which I too would have overlooked in the description:T

surely if you put boiling water in the flask first to warm it up then transfer your heated food into flask that will keep it warm? after all you dont warm coffee up in flask in microwave do you?

Actually having now read the reviews it appears that even this doesnt work

You just saved me £12. Thanks for the dimension warning. 71/2 inches is HUGE for a standard microwave.

I'd really recommend the steel food flasks that lakeland sell at £20.It works really well and saves me a fortune on lovely lunches for me and my son. I take soup, he quite often has reduced ready meals, or leftovers from dinner.

Stanley version of this comes around in Aldi once a year for about £5. It's quite bulky for the capacity, Too big for my microwave as well! I put hot soup in a stainless steel flask instead.
