Unfair Default registered on my credit file

The only line you could have at its a very very far flung on is if the default caused finical problems.
Personally I was lucky enough to get a default removed and the next step after all my searches was do nothing for 6 months and let my file settle down, The searches will drop off after 12 months. If you are really concerned you could place a notice of correction on your file however I would suggest if the default has gone then it may do more harm bring explain in a short space which not every lender does look at, why your file is a better picture for something that its no longer on file.
look at least you got it removed an a sorry i had to fight tooth and nail for mine and still got treat like something on the bottom of someone's shoe!
Don't apply and relax, just because you were declined a bank doesn't have to state why. You may not have met their criteria, or you may not have been part of the lucky number that month.
Leave it 6 months and then start thinking about what you want to do
I know this will be the case were i have to wait 6-12 months!! i guess this is all about that i've already waited 3 years thru no fault of my own and having to wait a further 12month (possible) kinda cheeses me off!
I went into my local Lloystsb branch yesterday with my credit report and a letter from Santander stating that the default registered against me wasn't my fault and will be removed but still no joy with upgrading my accounti'm guessing its all the pervious searches that are holding me back now and im just gunna have to wait... again!

lloyds can have a very strict policy, I have no negative can get an account anywhere but there.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

would you recommend switching banks?? Lloydstsb are taking my money month in n month out and there doing nothing for me apart from holding MY money...so would it be worth switching to another..??0

Have you just got a basic bank account with lloyds? If so might well be worth trying to get a regular account at another bank once you are sure its off your file (I assume that is what you wanted when you say upgrade? not a premium/paid account).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
