Recipe ideas for 100+ jars of Dolmio spag sauce and Squeeze me.

Long story but i have loads of dolmio spag sauce and squeeze me.
The kids and the other half are getting a bit miffed eating it so looking for new recipe ideas.

We have tried it with tuna, smoked sausage, spag bol, lasagna and also made a mushroom base sauce with it.

Also put some over pork with grated cheese.

Think everyone is getting a bit sick of pasta. We have pasta 1-2 times per week.

I thought about using it in a curry, but i have loads of jars of curry(not a prob to use up as all different kinds).

We do eat chilli, unsure what it will be like thrown in that.

  • Thoughts off the top of my head
    - could you have meatballs in sauce and serve with something other than pasta, such as rice or cous-cous
    - use it to make pizzas
    - try making a tomato soup
    - make some kind of moroccan tagine type dish with a tomato base

Or maybe add tabasco and vodka and try a Dolmio bloody mary?!

    rofl at the bloody mary.

    Kids do not eat soup:(

Keep meaning too try pizza as i have a load off flour here. Trouble is it does not use allot of dolmio.

Thought about mussels but they are a bit pricey(dolmio and wine sauce)

Try using Quinoa (pronounced Kin-wa) instead of pasta or rice, it's slightly different to taste but it's a high nutrition food. You can get it in the organic foods section of supermarkets.

Bolognese with rice makes a change from pasta/spaghetti. I've also used Domio bolognese sauce in with a jar of chilli sauce when I've not had enough chilli to do the lot of mince, just waters it down a little (you could add kidney beans, chilli powder, etc. to make up for it).

Could they be used for calzone? Probably uses a bit more sauce than pizza.

Mix the sauce with minced lamb (or turkey) then use the mix to stuff peppers. I mix couscous in with the mix and pop that in too - had it for tea last night Yum Yum Yum!

Tastes very similar to pizza but a bit saucier. You could make it as dry or saucy as you like I suppose. Had a fab one at Frankie & Benny's with pepperoni, ham, bacon, etc. in it
