Dear all,
I appreciate the ARISE thread has been discontinued, however I want to flag something up.
I am a VSC which means I run a company and sub contract from ARISE. I trained for 6 weeks for free, was certified in August 2011. Apart from the fact its a completely boring and soul-destroying job you could it in your PJs so it was good. However, since January, there have been few or currently (no hours at all). Fair enough, that's the deal. However I would like to flag up, that we were given 2 weeks notice til the end of contract, bit unfair. They didn't tell us over Xmas when customers were screaming at us because of the YODEL mess up. However, now, there are no hours. I had thought if I have 2 weeks notice, that's fine, but now there are no hours avaliable, so I won't make my 72 hours, so I'm about £400 down. They say there were hours in the first two weeks and they won't take down the PC. It's ridiclous. I feel so sorry for people who graduated in December last year, they did a month and were got rid off.
They are vicious people, a warning for the future, do not be fooled.
