"Won" but no prize!! Advice please.

I won a daily comp on 21st Dec.

E: 24/12 DAILY Win a bracelet & a chance of winning £2500 in the final draw.

I was notified by email that I had won a bracelet on 22nd and asked for my postal address. I emailed back. Nothing arrived. One month later and no answer to my 4 emails asking for some feedback or a bracelet in the post. I even sent a screenshot of the facebook page announcing me as the days winner. I used 3 different email addresses I could find for them.
What should I do? Write it off as "one of those things" it was only a simple, probably inexpensive bracelet or keep chasing by email and even phone them.
Thanks in advance.

I would contact the IPM or ASA.

I've had to do that with a high value win from a major national brand.....14 weeks and no sign of the win. As soon as the IPM/ASA got on to it I had an apologetic email and they 'added' to my win. It turns out the two people who'd been dealing with my win had left the company and never bothered to sort out my prize before they left!

My daughter also had a win not arrive.....after chasing and chasing it for 10 weeks, I suggested to the company that perhaps I should contact the ASA/IPM.....funnily enough the prize is finally on it's way (but I won't give up until it's actually delivered). As an apology they also sent a bag of goodies for my daughter to make up for it.

Probably doesn't apply, but just in case. Have you checked your FB messages too? I had a bit of a problem with a small FB win which I only found because I did a search:

They had announced it on their FB page and messaged me via FB, but for some reason, I didn't get any notification about this. I left a couple of messages on their FB page. They responded there and again messaged me via FB, which didn't get emailed to me. All sorted in a couple of days, but only because I went hunting for FB messages.

Like I said, this probably doesn't apply to your story, but I thought I'd mention, just in case. And if it was me, I would persevere even for a small win. I would pester them on their FB page in a polite, friendly and possibly semi-apologetic manner - just in case the delay is due to them having their own difficulties - you never know. Also I would look for their non FB site and try to contact them via that, if they have one. And if all else fails, I would contact the organisation that oversees competitions - someone on this site will have their details.

    Good luck

  • IPM are great - I won a mixer and they sent me a food processor out instead, within a month it was all sorted and I got the mixer. Just make sure you keep anything advising the comp or your win to send them if needed.

Hope you get it sorted. Most companies state prizes will be delivered within 28 days and bear in mind that the days in this case include the whole of the Christmas and New Year period. Personally I wouldn't even think of contacting the IPM at this stage as I don't think they would intervene this early on.

    Thanks everybody.
I decided to make a phone call before making any complaint to other bodies. Lo and behold the bracelet is in the post! I'm taking this at face value and will use all your advice and tips as necessary if it does not actually land on our doormat within the next few days.
    Cheers.
