overdraft

Some banks will just lower the overdraft limit without charging you - I've been into Santander twice recently and just asked them and they done it for me. Its always worth asking if they will lower it a little every month - worst case they just say no!0

I am in the same boat as Newbie2012. I have a massive £3K overdraft but have a good relationship (if such a thing exists!) and I am worried by transfering my wages etc to another account I will upset Halifax and they will take it away from me and demand it all back in one go
I think my best bet is using my account still but putting some into savings and then when I am up to something like £500 I can bring it down and start again... what do you reckon?!
Provided that you have the willpower to save it and not spend it, then pay it off and reduce straight away, then do it
I personally made the mistake of seeing it as free money so never paid any off so I had to do the seperate bank account thing. Luckily Ll0yds like getting my charges every month so have never said anything about reducing it!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16 Became homeowners 26.02.16 Became homeowners 26.02.16 Baby girl arrived 27.10.16 Baby girl arrived 27.10.16 Baby boy arrived 16.09.20180 Baby boy arrived 16.09.20180

Yeah I have a pretty rubbish will powered brain!
Do you think Halifax will really not care if I transfer all my gubbins over to Santander (my other account with no O/D facility)?
Halifax currently rob on average £60 from me a month so I need this overdraft gone pretty half sharpish! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0
