endowment up year and half after mortgage

The original policy and mortgage was with tsb why was this not noticed and pointed out surley thats there job to make sure they tie up, why.did i not notice...then i remortgaged with prudential and honestly i cant see.me making an error like this
They would have tied up at the start. However, lets say you started in January but then remortgaged in March. The remortgage would expire in March but the endowment would mature in January. Now, if the remortgage is set to expire after the endowment, then you are fine. If the remortgage is set one year later, then the endowment matures after the mortgage end.
This happens so much because the odds of someone staying 25 years with one lender are remote and the do become disjointed. Lenders dont worry about it and will normally happily extend as long as they know its coming.
