Issues with Scotcall

My mum had a debt a long time ago and some company offered her some deal to get it paid off! but she was being contacted by 3 different agencies.
So she paid it off to this one company and then she contacted the other two to say stop harrassing her. The other one seemed fine about it, just to send a letter and she has had no problem. However the other company was scotcall!
They told her she'd paid the wrong company and had to pay them or else!
They turned up today on our doorstep out of the blue asking when she would be home and when they could contact her so i just stayed really vague and gave the number they already had for her which she'd been contacting them on! and he left a card saying it was important this was the first visit and that they would be back basically!
Now i know they cant get away with it as they're breaking so many laws but i need some help! Pleaseeeee

It must be a yearly clear out of really old debts or something, I got one of their cards today in a name i haven't used for ever (maiden name) so almost a year to the day from the OP. I'm just opting to ignore mine :)
